Grade 10 reflection
I remember what I was like a year ago. Time has gone so fast that the Christmas and Halloween were like just passed yesterday. However we all know that one more than one year, 365 days has passed since we got into SUIS for the first time. In this short 10th grade year, I faced many tough challenges.
The biggest challenge for me was self-controlling. Since last summer we didn't have much homework, I played around every day for the whole two months. And because of that, when I was back in school again, I found that I couldn't control myself and always ran from reality, and left everything until the last minute. For example, if there was 3 assignments that have about 2 weeks left before the deadline, I did all of them on the second last day or the last day. And sometimes I even kept doing the things that are unrelated to the homework at all, such as watching funny videos and surfing on the internet. My life-style has totally changed, and so was my grade. I got a C for English in the first quarter, because I didn't turn my homework on time. I was so shocked, and began to fix this bad habit of mine. When I got a new assignment, I wrote on a paper and stick on my desk. Every time I saw more and more assignments stuck on my desk I couldn't help myself finishing them, so that I could pull them off from the desk. Though I sometimes still complete homework on the last day, I now hand in every homework on time. My grade for English rose to B, and then A at last. I’m so glad that I could overcome this.
I have to be careful because it is so easy to have a bad life-style, but hard to get a good one back. In the future, I’ll still working on self-controlling.
